    versatile & hardwearing I have had these trousers for approx 3 years. They have worn exceptionally well & still look like new despite numerous washes. As mentioned in previous reviews they are comfy to wear & quick drying. I wear them with a base layer when i go skiing , wear them for walking & occaisionally go to work in them .     super comfort for your legs I have had many pairs of walking trousers but can honestly say the Ortler is the best so far. The cut is perfect for all activities and the stretch fabric makes them super comfortable. I love light weight gear and these trousers are very light, you hardly notice you are wearing them but they still keep your legs at a good temperature. I have worn these in the rain and found they stayed dry under light rain but soaked through in a downpour, however the fabric was not heavy when wet and dried very fast. These trousers fit nicely under waterproofs and seem very durable so should suit activities such as rock climbing. They are also very smart so you can wear them in the pub at the end of a long walk and not worry about looking scruffy. Amazing trousers and worth spending a few extra pounds on. 26 October 2011

    Great Pants! Having been the satisfied owner of some Berghaus 'extreme' walking trousers for several years, I was looking for a lighter equivalent, that I would look smart as well as being fully practical. I must admit to have been unsure about these pants, until they arrived! I need not have worried - they are exactly as presented on-line and are just what I was hoping for, if not better! As ever with Berghaus, these are top quality! 13 July 2011
