    girlfriend approves! i much prefer the technical fit for climbing and the elastic material feels real nice against the skin. the reason why the fit is one too small is because i have a long body so it can ride a bit and the large was to wide. Good thermal properties but as with the active fit ones they're better for keeping you cool than warm if you want a cold weather base layer try and get hold of the older x-static polartec tops which were brill 01 March 2011
    The everyday baselayer This has got to be one of the most versatile pieces of clothing or outdoor gear I own. It can be worn anywhere, anytime, no matter what the activity. It's equally at home trekking in the sunshine of the lower Nepalese valleys, as a baselayer under a fleece during the British winter or just for lazing around the house in. Super breathable, quick drying and really comfortable next to your skin. 18 November 2010
    Great Hot Weather Base Layer I'm going to be honest here - I've never worn it to try keep myself warm, but what I can say is that it is fantastic in hot climates. Having done long distance trekking and canoing in summer (35 degrees!!) in Corsica, Loire Valley and Picos de Europa, I can honestly say that this will keep you cool in the heat. It also dries quickly, and best of all, it doesn't seem to smell due to the Argentium fabric, even after a week of constant wear in such hot climates!! A small problem/suggestion would be to do a smaller or slimmer version - I'm wearing an S, and it's still a (very) relaxed fit shirt on me, but all said, it is a great hot weather base layer. 15 November 2010
