Best Quality & Worth It
I bought these because I wanted something that was very lightweight & wouldn't impede any walking motion. I wasn't disappointed - they're exactly what I was looking for.

Lightweight
I've had my pair for about 4 months, and they've been very good. They fit great, they (so far) keep the rain and snow out (I've just come back from the Himalayas just after the monsoon season), they're very light, and the venting zip arrangement is very useful.
They're not perfect though; the interior lining is easily torn if you put them on while wearing boots (as you will do in practice), they desperately need pockets, and the fact the the zip stops 3 to 4 inches below the belt is a design flaw. If they could zip off totally, and had pockets, they'd be 5 stars without question.
I'd definitely recomend them though, the materials and quality is very high (taped seems, clever watertight-ish zips), and they fit great.

LEAKING PRODUCTS! - not fit for purpose
Fit: lovely
Look: superb
Pack size: fantastic
Performance: DISMAL!!!
I bought the matching Paclite jacket and trousers but took the 1st set back because they both leaked. Berghaus put it down to a faulty batch.
I happily wore the 2nd pair until the heavens opened - and once again, both the jacket and trousers leaked.
I wore the 3rd set with trepidation until the first rain shower, and once again both the jacket AND trousers leaked.
I have just had a FULL REFUND for these consistently terrible goods.
These products are not fit for purpose - buy with care. But at least the Berghaus customer service will be good when you return your faulty products. Such a shame because everything about these Paclites is great...
Oh, except they don't keep the water out.

Worth extra money
These waterproof trousers are so light and comfortable to wear, and pack so small, it is worth spending the extra money to get the Paclite version, especially for longer treks. Just be careful to avoid thorns and barbed wire, as the fabric is not that tough.
