    Long Cornice Jacket I read several good reviews of the Long Cornice jacket then ordered one along with a Berhaus interactive fleece. As waterproof overjacket, it;'s Gore-tex, and so does what you'd expect- so far so good. But despite the advertised length, an XL only just covers the hips (I'm about 185 cm tall and slimmish build), and the arms are rather too short. And if you want warmth, then combined with an XL fleece, the jacket again does the job- but the Cornice sleeves ride up well above the wrist, which is pretty annoying when it rains. Berghaus should really have sorted this out. Moreover, with the two combined, the padding round the neck is quite tight. And the front zip is really rather fiddly and zipping up when the wind picks up is a real nuisance. So on the one hand it is a quality product, but on the other hand, there are some annoying-and avoidable- let-downs. If you want an interactive fleece to go with this product then buy the Long Cornice of the next size up. In the meantime, Berghaus designers need to improve their products. I thought this was going to be the answer to my long search for a good length waterproof insulated jacket- but it's not quite there, unfortunately. Someday the performance gear producers will actually do some market research and find out there's a demand. 12 May 2012
    Really sensible length jacket After buying various Berghaus products over the years and being perfectly happy with them. I found that this longer jacket is far more practical,you dont HAVE to be a hill walker OR mountaineering athlete to wear it. its just a really good coat. 07 November 2011

    Design flaw Sleeves re-inforced behind stitching at cuffs, I have short arms therefore the sleeves form a ruck when I fasten the velcro, jacket only two years old and it is beginning to tear at the fold caused by the re-inforcement!! 09 June 2011
