Deliveries to London this Summer

At Berghaus we know you want your gear as quickly as possible, that’s why we work closely with our couriers to get your gear to you fast and provide a range of delivery options. As the Olympics and Paralympics takes over London from mid-July to mid-September, this has the potential to delay some deliveries.

The Berghaus distribution centre is based outside of London, so the shipping of your parcel will continue as normal but deliveries to areas in and around London could be delayed. This is due to traffic congestion, road closures and the removal of waiting bays making deliveries difficult in some areas. It’s difficult to predict on which days and which areas will be affected, therefore we will continue to provide all delivery options to you during this period. As ever, if your delivery takes longer than the time specified in our delivery policy, we will refund your postage costs.

During the Olympic and Paralympic Games there may be some delays delivering your orders in and around London.

UK Express Delivery

Between 30 July and 8 September deliveries to certain London postcodes using our UK Express Delivery service may experience at least a 24 hour delay. To see if your postcode may be affected please check this table

UK Standard Delivery

Between 30 July and 8 September deliveries to London using our UK Standard Delivery service will continue to be delivered on Monday to Friday. However please note that deliveries could be made earlier or later in the day than usual. This is because changes to transport systems mean it is likely to take longer to collect and deliver mail in some parts of London. Postal workers will be delivering earlier in the morning to ensure they can complete their rounds given the extra travelling time required. Because of this, some mail which is not ready for the start of deliveries may be held overnight and delivered the next working day.
